Gallery Rifle (GR)

GR is typically shot with an under-lever rifle; the most common calibres being 38 Special or 44 magnum. Both have their pro's and con's where shooters balance accuracy, recoil and ease of use.

Standard class (GRCF) is shot with a scoped rifle; GR Classic is shot with open iron sights.
The Team international event is GRCF but both classes are competed for separately in the individual World Championship aggregate event.
The small-bore International is shot with a scoped rimfire rifle; these are 22RF semi-automatic and magazine fed.
As a minimum, competitors require at least 4 x 10 round magazines to shoot the longer stages.

Again, there are a number of GRSB evens that make up the individual World Championship SB aggregate event.

Other kit 'essentials' typically include belts and pouches to hold spare ammunition; a good countdown timer, a decent hat and of course effective eye and ear protection.

The international Match itself is the 150 round course of fire based on the WA1500 event - modified slightly to meet the requirements of the firearms.

The Individual World Champion events include the 1500, Timed & Precision 1, Multi-target and the 50M Precision - all offered for GRCF, GR Classic and GRSB - and shot as an aggregate.
