Club :            Frome & District Pistol Club

Started shooting in 1985 with Frome & District Pistol Club. Achieved success at Club, County, Country (England) and International (GB) competitions with Gallery Rifle, culminating in shooting for Great Britain 2010 - 2019. Achieved X class ranking in 1500 GRCF Gallery Rifle &  previous Phoenix record holder and Grand Master medal winner.

Career highlights include appointment as the inaugural GR Team Captain on formation of the GB Squad in 2010, and again in 2011 & 2017, leading the GB team to success in multiple events at home and abroad. On 'retirement' from the squad, he assumed the role of UK NRA Discipline lead for Gallery Rifle & Pistol (on the NRA Council) and Chairman of the GB  Management Committee 2020 - 2026. In addition, Ash represented GB on the International Gallery Rifle Federation (IGRF) committee alongside his deputy and team captain.

Ash is a qualified Range Safety Officer, Range Conducting Officer, an Instructor for the NRA’s Gallery Rifle and Bianchi Skills Courses and a regular Chief Range Officer at Bisley for National and International GR&P events. He continues to support GB and the wider Gallery Rifle & Pistol community and remains an active and enthusiastic shooter on the National scene. This is alongside his ongoing role as President  and GR&P Match Director for his home club, Frome & District Pistol Club.
